British Chambers of Commerce
Chambers of Commerce have evolved over the past 150 years and today they represent businesses large and small across the world.
In France and in other parts of Europe ALL businesses are required by law to join their local Chamber but here in the UK and elsewhere businesses simply make a choice to join as members by paying an annual fee. Member businesses in the UK therefore manage their own Chambers for their own benefit.

Ray Johnson - Chairman
Ray Johnson has been involved in insurance broking for the last twenty-one years and is sole proprietor of Independent Insurance Services. He is actively involved in the business community and Folkestone Rotary Club. He has personally raised in excess of £100,000 for charity mainly by participation in the London and New York marathons. He is the President of the Insurance Institute of Folkestone, Canterbury and East Kent, sits on six boards and is an active member of BNI and IoD and participates in many environmental forums.
